I needed a sun hat for a trip and Munem'Ma came through. She even met me in the Target parking lot so I could have my hat in time. The hats are wonderful and travel exceptionally. I often had mine packed in my backpack or shoved in a crack and the hat still looks new! They are HUGE which is so nice when its sunny. You can hand wash them and they keep their shape. I love that these are handmade and not from China.

I will definitely be adding another one to my collection soon.

I got belly chains with my mom and the lady sized them for us. She was super nice and welcoming with fair prices and a wonderful attitude. The chains are high quality and so beautiful. Just wish their was a website as I don’t live in Tacoma. Will definitely be going back next time though.

Soon as I saw this store in the Tacoma Mall, I had to walk in before I left! The owner is kind, talented, helpful & professional. The store is well organized & it has all types of categories of fashion & traditional African merch. For the jewelry I was interested in, she handmades the jewelry herself. I purchased her waist beads for myself & niece. The owner sized them up to our waist like a tailor with garments. I love the waist beads & everything in that store! I will definitely recommend to visit Munem'Ma to others!

We had a next day wedding event (traditional African APPAREL required)

We went to the only other four stores we could find in Tacoma/lakewood and couldn’t find any of the matching colors required. We kept looking and found this place last before we ended our journey— we called she said she was open- in the Tacoma mall and to come on in— we arrived and found the perfect apparel for both my wife and I

While in the store it was perfectly arranged, very clean and organized, well lit and had a very welcoming ambiance
The lady who helped us was warm, informative, and and helped us completely and professionally while still being funny

It was a wonderful experience and she is now on our to go shopping list place

She had apparel and trinkets for the whole family and we will definitely be going back and referring to other people

She was very reasonably priced as well

During my late night shopping, I discovered this talented artist and am sooooo glad that I did!!! She has a radiant spirit, is beautiful, professional and friendly. She provides exemplary customer service. I wore a set of her cloth wrapped earrings for the 1st time today. I was out for a total of 30 min and got 4 compliments on the earrings in that time!!! I'm a customer for life.
